Corrente AG was founded in 2001 in conjunction with an international EAP-group. In 2005, Corrente became an independent provider. Corrente created new models to provide local, regional and international services in close cooperation with European and non-European partners.Under this new ownership, the leadership team has the flexibility and dedication to customer service and satisfaction.

The company is based in Kiel, Northern Germany, where it has a Counselling and Support Center.

Vorstand



Jan Willem Boshuizen



After university training in Amsterdam in Business Administration as well as in the mental health sector Jan spent several years in different fields of the mental health sector, as a practitioner as well as in a managing position. Since 1994 he worked in the field of employee assistance, paying special attention to short term solution focused work and the concept of Chronic Stress Syndrome (CSS), as taught by Drs. Sonja van Zweden, Amsterdam. In 1998 he set up his own company, but moved to Germany in 2000, were he established a countrywide EAP, first as a franchisee and since 1995 under the name Corrente. As CEO his activities lie in the field of marketing, finances and account management, although he loves to do some consultancy jobs in between.



Juliane Barth



Juliane Barth is Clinical Director at Corrente AG. She holds an academic degree in "Diplom Pädagogik" after having studied Pegagogics, Psychology and Sociology in Flensburg and Oldenburg. She has work experience in the field of research, social work, education and was director of a counselling agency for 10 years. She is authorized to provide psychotherapy and is a certified case manager(DGS/DBSH/DBfK). After a post graduate training at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in Management and Policy Development she began to work in the field of Employee Assistance. Juliane is co-founder and currently serves as vice-president of the Employee Assistance European Forum (EAEF) and has done a lot of conceptional work on EA in Germany.




Corrente Management Team


Kristina Hartwig

Kristina is Head of Corrente's Case Management team. She is a certified case manager(DGS/DBSH/DBfK), holds a diploma in social work and in nursing. She has spent part of her education in the United States and is fluent in English. In her time as a social worker in the German army she has gathered work experience in a broad range of issues, such as psychological issues and trauma, debt counselling, addiction problems. She is a strong believer in a counselling approach that helps people to connect with their own resources and to support them in developing a realistic self awareness and self responsibility.

Sabine Zimmermann

Sabine is Director of Work/Life-services at Corrente. She holds a Diploma in Ecotrophology, where she has specialized on counselling. She has work experience in different fields of education - with children as well as with grown ups - and in information services. She is a very effective manager of the Work/Life-Team and believes in the benefits of a service that goes beyond standardized answers but responds to individual requests with a taylor made service.

Petra Kleinewoerdemann

Petra holds an academic degree as "Diplom-Psychologe" and is Director of Expatriate services at Corrente. Petra has lived and worked in the United States and in Israel. Since 2003 she manages Cross Cultural Adaptability Assessments and is expert in expatriate and in family issues including parenting and treatment of hyperactive children.

Natascha Bünzen

Natascha is a holds a BA in business administration. She is assistant to the commercial director. As office manager at Corrente she also looks after internal processes and is contact point for customers.

Staff in the support centre are psychologists, social workers or similarly trained academics. They all have several years of work experience and counselling experience as well as post graduate training in counselling or psychotherapy. Work experience in or with organizatins is a must. Corrente counsellors are trained in different methodics, for instance in systemic counselling and therapy, solution focused therapy, transactional analysis, Gestalt, conflict management, mediation and crisis intervention.
In work/life-issues they cooperate with legal experts, ecotrophologists, financial experts, debt counsellors, tax accountants, specialized counselling agencies etc. to provide information and services.
